Hey there! Are you thinking about throwing a fun and meaningful event to support an Optimist Club that’s making a difference for our youth? Why not organize a community service project or invite friends to a casual recruitment get-together? You could also plan a lively bingo night, hold a raffle, host a cornhole tournament, or create a themed social—so many exciting ideas to choose from!
Hey there! If you're interested in joining our Optimist of Rolla family, just swing by and attend a meeting as our guest. Once you get a feel for us, you can fill out a membership application and submit it to the club's board. After they're happy to approve it, all that's left is to take care of the annual dues. We’d love to have you with us!
An Optimist Club volunteer gives their time, energy, and skills to benefit children and the local community by organizing and participating in youth-focused activities, such as youth sports, scholarships, and mentorship programs. Volunteers also help with community service projects like food drives, spread positivity and optimism, and contribute to civic affairs and good government, embodying the organization's mission to "bring out the best in kids".
Based on our Optimist Creed—"To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own"—we truly believe in lifting each other up! Here’s a list of organizations we're rooting for and excited to see thrive.Â

Sleep In Heavenly Peace (SHP)
At Sleep In Heavenly Peace (SHP), we fully believe that a bed is a basic need for the proper physical, emotional and mental support that a child needs. When it was brought to our attention that the need for beds went far beyond our own neighborhoods, we stepped up and took initiative. We’re a national organization answering the call to a national problem.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace is where it is today because of the passionate volunteers who believe in the mission of getting kids off the floor and into beds. In just a few hours of your time, you can make a direct, permanent impact in the quality of life for dozens, if not hundreds and maybe even thousands of kids in your community.
We’re always looking for volunteers to build bunks, go on bed deliveries, be vocal advocates for our mission and start new SHP Chapters in unserved communities.
